Toby Time

Toby is taking a long car ride today with us to the Jersey Shore! We’re heading to Long Beach Island (LBI) for the 4th of July Holiday Weekend and we are SO excited!

Toby has been recovering from his tooth extraction well and showing no signs of pain or infection at the site of the surgery. He is still on antibiotics for a few more days, but he is off pain meds. We are also using a gel over his teeth that, after this week, we can use once to twice a week instead of brushing. Very cool!

We are going to be careful this weekend with sand mites and getting water near Toby’s ears. We aren’t going to take him anywhere near the ocean, but our seaside town has lots of sand and water nearby, so better safe than sorry. We are also a little worried about the fireworks. In the past, our family’s dogs have had to take some medication during the 4th to calm down their anxiety. We’re hoping just holding Toby will be enough. We’ll find out soon enough…we’re sure he’ll be fine.

So our first two and a half weeks with Toby have been great! We have no complaints and can’t imagine not having him as part of our lives!
